Finder answers
Camping-stove needs answers and numeric boundaries
How to read the finder answers
This guide explains what each stove-finder choice changes and where combinations become restrictive. Results are drawn from individually assessed U.S. configurations, not a census of every stove or a guarantee of availability. A missing exact specification does not pass a hard filter, but it also does not prove that an unassessed product cannot meet the need. Manufacturer boil-time and simmer descriptions are attributed claims, not independent tests. A documented cookware ceiling is not a promise that every smaller pan will sit securely, and a stove-only minimum weight is not a complete fueled or packed weight.
Choose whether to include earlier models
The current-only finder compares individually reviewed U.S. stove arrangements. It is a bounded evidence set, not a full market census. Examples include the GSI Selkirk 460+, Kovea KGB-1312PH, KGB-1312P, Container Stove KGB-2401CP, Stove Alpha KGB-2203, V1 Regulator Stove KGB-1607 and SUPALITE TITANIUM KB-0707. The exact-code U.S.-facing SUPALITE listing helps identify that model but does not establish a current domestic offer or package. See the same current-only result.
Including earlier models keeps four individually assessed older SOTO configurations available for exact-model comparison; this does not imply current offers. Current examples include the GSI Selkirk 460+, Kovea KGB-1312PH, KGB-1312P, Container Stove KGB-2401CP, Stove Alpha KGB-2203, V1 Regulator Stove KGB-1607 and SUPALITE TITANIUM KB-0707; the SUPALITE is current, not an older SOTO entry. Open the same earlier-inclusive result.
Fuel connection and cooking intent
Fuel labels that sound alike are not interchangeable. The two named fuel choices require the stated brand/blend and threaded connection on an exact documented arrangement; a generic screw-on canister or a propane component is not enough evidence.
The exact MSR 80/20 isobutane/propane blend plus threaded EN 417 option still matches 15 arrangements. Kovea catalogs call the SUPALITE TITANIUM KB-0707's cartridge an isobutane screw-type canister, but do not state its blend ratio or establish the requested EN 417 system; the KGB-2203 page is also insufficient to verify this exact fuel need. Keep the same MSR fuel condition selected, compare the documented MSR PocketRocket 2, and read the SUPALITE assessment.
The exact Jetboil JetPower fuel and threaded EN417 option remains a 12-arrangement subset. Kovea's catalog gives the SUPALITE TITANIUM KB-0707 a screw-type isobutane-canister description, but does not identify JetPower or verify its specified blend and connection; the KGB-2203 is likewise unverified for this exact condition. Keep the same JetPower condition selected, compare the documented Jetboil Flash, and check the SUPALITE review.
Water-heating intent matches 168 current configurations. Maker boil claims are not comparable tests. The GSI Glacier Camp and the Kovea Container Stove KGB-2401CP, Stove Alpha KGB-2203, V1 Regulator Stove KGB-1607 and SUPALITE TITANIUM KB-0707 illustrate distinct arrangements and evidence limits. The SUPALITE catalog's 1 L boil-time figure has no stated test conditions; it is not a comparable performance result. See the same water-heating choice or set current models only.
Adjustable-simmer intent matches 148 current configurations. The SUPALITE TITANIUM KB-0707 has an adjustment-valve claim but no stated low-flame range or simmer language; the KGB-2203 page also gives no simmer-control evidence, so neither passes this hard condition. By contrast, GSI describes independent Selkirk 460+ controls from slow simmer to fast boil and Pinnacle Radiant low-heat simmer control; these are maker descriptions, not our tests. Keep the same adjustable-simmer choice; compare the Selkirk 460+ and Pinnacle Radiant, and read the SUPALITE and KGB-2203 assessments for their evidence limits.
Adjustable-simmer intent matches 148 current configurations. BioLite describes four fan speeds that change CampStove 2+ fire intensity, and EcoZoom describes a dampering door; neither statement establishes tested or guaranteed low-flame behavior. GSI describes a simmer control on the Selkirk 460+ and Pinnacle Radiant. The SUPALITE TITANIUM KB-0707's valve statement lacks a low-flame range or simmer claim; the KGB-2203 and Container Stove KGB-2401CP also lack documented simmer-control evidence. Open the current-only choice or include earlier models; compare the Selkirk 460+ and Pinnacle Radiant.
Cooking positions and separate windscreen approval
At least one burner is enough in this permissive choice, so both one- and multi-burner models qualify; 171 current configurations match. Examples with one cooking position include the GSI Glacier Camp, Kovea KGB-1312PH, KGB-1312P, Container Stove KGB-2401CP, Stove Alpha KGB-2203, V1 Regulator Stove KGB-1607 and SUPALITE TITANIUM KB-0707. KGB-1312PH and KGB-1312P have two positions and also meet a minimum of one. A product photograph can establish a visible burner arrangement, not pan clearance, stability or a load rating. See the same at-least-one-burner choice.
Requiring two or more simultaneous burners matches 41 current configurations. The SUPALITE TITANIUM KB-0707 and KGB-2203 each show one cooking position, so neither meets that minimum. Compare the two-position GSI Selkirk 460+, Kovea KGB-1312PH and KGB-1312P; burner count does not establish cookware or handle clearance. Keep the two-or-more-burner requirement selected.
A separate screen must be approved by exact-model instructions; 34 current configurations meet that requirement. Kovea's SUPALITE TITANIUM KB-0707 page and cited catalogs do not establish permission to use a separate windscreen, and the KGB-2203 evidence is similarly silent. The Pinnacle Canister and Pinnacle 4 Season reviews identify their model-specific approvals. Unknown permission does not become approval by adding a screen after the fact. Keep the same approved-screen requirement selected and check the SUPALITE limitations.
At least one burner plus a manual-approved separate screen matches 34 current configurations. The Pinnacle Canister and Pinnacle 4 Season manuals permit the named GSI screen; the Glacier Camp does not. Open the same burner/screen combination.
Including earlier models gives 35 approved-screen matches; current-only gives 34. The Pinnacle Canister and 4 Season join both scopes as current models, while unknown or prohibited screen use remains unmatched. Earlier inclusive · Current only.
Numeric boundaries: use the stated field, not a nearby number
For cookware, the finder needs an exact-model documented cookware maximum or a clearly scoped maker recommendation. Pot capacity, support-arm span, stove-body width, a named sample pan or a cooktop dimension is not a substitute. Requests are tested in half-inch steps from 4 through 16 inches. For weight, the numeric question is the maker-listed minimum bare-stove mass; bundled parts, fuel, cookware and packaging are not inferred from a different component's value. Unknown or conflicted bases do not pass either hard screen.
KGB-2203 has no documented maximum cookware diameter or manufacturer minimum-weight figure. Those unknowns fail closed across the finder’s valid 4–16 inch pan requests and 40–300 g minimum-weight caps; the official photo cannot establish either number. See a same-condition 10-inch pan request, a 300 g weight cap, and the evidence-limited review.
The numeric cookware answer compares the size you need with a maker-documented maximum; support-arm span, included pot capacity and named pan examples are not maximums. The exact Pinnacle Canister manual sets a 10-inch cookware maximum, so it matches requests through that boundary and not at 10.5 inches. BioLite does not recommend cookware wider than 10 inches for the CampStove 2+ because its small footprint can be unstable; the same caution applies to the stove component in Complete Cook Kit. For the CampStove models, this boundary means requests up to 10 inches pass and 10.5 inches does not; the EcoZoom 9.5-inch cooktop labels do not pass because they are not cookware maxima. The SUPALITE TITANIUM KB-0707 sources do not state a cookware ceiling, so its three support arms do not pass any hard numeric diameter cap. A low cap is not a guarantee that a particular small pan is stable. Read the Pinnacle Canister manual limit and the SUPALITE assessment. Same-condition pan-size results: 4 in, 5.5 in, 6 in, 7 in, 7.5 in, 8 in, 8.5 in, 9 in, 9.5 in and 10 in.
Vega's listed stove body is 178 g, so it fails the 175 g answer and first qualifies at the next 5 g step, 180 g. The SUPALITE TITANIUM KB-0707 has conflicting catalog weights: Kovea's 2017 international catalog states 56 g and its 2018 English catalog states 60 g. Neither identifies either figure as a minimum bare-stove weight, so it does not pass a hard weight cap; the difference is preserved, not averaged. Read the Vega review, the SUPALITE weight discussion, and the 175 g versus 180 g answers.
The finder admits a model only when its documented minimum weight is no more than the entered cap; an unknown or unscoped weight does not pass. At 40 g, no reviewed configuration passes; the lightest published minimum in the library is 73 g. At 70 g, no reviewed configuration passes; the lightest published minimum in the library is 73 g. At a 75 g cap, the 75 g manual-light OD-1NV passes; 81 g OD-1NVE first enters at 85 g, and the New River bundle minimum remains unknown. At an 80 g cap, the 75 g OD-1NV passes while the 81 g OD-1NVE misses; the bundle’s complete minimum weight remains unknown. At an 85 g cap, both the 75 g OD-1NV and 81 g OD-1NVE match; the latter first enters at this valid 5 g step. The bundle minimum remains unknown. At a 95 g cap, five PocketRocket configurations match; the 98 g MightyMo stove misses this boundary, and the MTYKIT and HalfGen weights remain unknown. At a 100 g cap, the 98 g standalone MightyMo joins five PocketRocket configurations; its separate 27 g stabilizer is excluded from the listed stove mass. The documented 98 g MTYM stove is included from the 100 g step onward; unknown package masses do not pass this minimum-weight rule. At a 130 g cap, the 87 g WindMaster passes but the 135 g TriTrail is just above this valid step. At a 135 g cap, TriTrail first passes on its 135 g body-only page value; WindMaster also passes, while Fusion Trek at 182 g does not. A listed component or system mass without a confirmed minimum-weight basis stays unknown. SOTO Amicus OD-1NV, OD-1NVE, New River bundle, the MSR PocketRocket 2, PocketRocket 2 Mini Kit, PocketRocket Deluxe, PocketRocket Deluxe Stove Kit, PocketRocket Stove Kit, Jetboil MightyMo, MSR Switch, SOTO WindMaster and TriTrail show why the exact model and stated weight basis matter. Same-condition caps: 40 g, 70 g, 75 g, 80 g, 85 g, 90 g, 95 g, 100 g, 115 g, 120 g, 130 g and 135 g.
What changes when requirements are combined
A combination is evaluated on one documented operating arrangement, not by borrowing a capability from a sibling model or an incompatible fuel mode. The examples below keep every stated condition in the linked finder query. Empty results mean no arrangement in this assessed evidence set clears those exact conditions.
Exact fuel, cooking behavior and burner count
The exact MSR threaded 80/20 fuel and adjustable-simmer conditions match fifteen MSR arrangements. Coleman model 3001 has a maker-described simmer range but uses a different Coleman cartridge; the adjustable X-Cursion likewise does not establish the exact MSR blend and threaded EN 417 connector because its own fuel labels and support answers conflict. The WhisperLite Universal and WindPro II reviews keep their separate fuel arrangements and simmer-related manual wording distinct. Open the same MSR-fuel and adjustable-output scenario.
JetPower with cooking intent
JetPower plus boil-water cooking matches twelve configurations, including the matched-pot MicroMo; JetPower with one burner accepted also matches twelve, including this one-burner system. JetPower with adjustable output matches twelve configurations, including MicroMo, standalone MTYM and MTYKIT; the control manuals document adjustment, not independent simmer testing. These are the same twelve exact-fuel configurations across the three questions, not proof that their pot sizes or cooking controls are interchangeable. See Flash 1.0 L, Flash 1.8 L, Flash Java 1.0 L, Flash Java 1.8 L, Flash Windscreen, MightyMo MTYM, MightyMo Group Cook Bundle MTYKIT, Stash, TrailCook 1.2 L, TrailCook 2.0 L, Zip 0.8 L and MicroMo for exact package and manual distinctions. Finder scenarios: JetPower + boil water, JetPower + at least one burner and JetPower + adjustable output.
With MSR threaded 80/20 fuel and one burner accepted, fifteen MSR configurations match; none of the twenty-five Coleman records uses the exact MSR blend and EN 417 fitting. The one-burner MSR examples are the PocketRocket 2, WhisperLite Universal and WindPro II; match only a supported arrangement. Open MSR fuel with one burner accepted.
With MSR threaded 80/20 fuel and two or more simultaneous burners required, no assessed configuration matches: the seventeen Coleman multi-burner configurations include the propane-fueled PEAK1 5485, Tabletop Grill/Stove SKU 2209294 and two liquid-fuel Guide Series 424 burners, while all MSR arrangements document one burner per setup.
PEAK1 5485, Tabletop Grill/Stove 2209294 and Guide Series 424 remain different fuel plans, not cross-matches. Open MSR fuel with two or more burners required.
Water heating with one or more cooking positions matches 166 current configurations. One-position examples include the GSI Glacier Camp, Kovea Stove Alpha, V1 Regulator Stove and SUPALITE TITANIUM KB-0707; a model's boiling statement remains a maker claim, not a comparative test. Open water heating with one or more positions accepted.
Adjustable-simmer intent plus two or more burners matches 38 current configurations, including the two-burner GSI Selkirk 460+. Its maker describes independent controls; this is not a claim of tested low-flame stability. Open adjustable output with two or more burners.
Water-heating intent plus two or more burners matches 39 current configurations, including the two-burner GSI Selkirk 460+. Several burner positions do not establish a number of servings or a measured boil rate. Open water heating with two or more burners.
Windscreen approval, fuel and cookware together
MSR threaded fuel plus an approved separate windscreen matches WhisperLite Universal SKU 14041 and WindPro II SKU 14046; both manuals document this blend and an approved screen in distinct remote layouts. The Universal and WindPro II instructions control; do not generalize their permission to another stove. Open the same fuel and screen requirements.
JetPower plus an approved separate windscreen matches Zip and five Flash configurations; MicroMo is excluded because its exact manual prohibits windscreens. At 8 inches, twelve JetPower-compatible systems match, including MicroMo with its supplied Pot Support and the exact manual-backed cookware limit. At 9 inches, JetPower candidates include Zip, five Flash packages, both TrailCook capacities and MicroMo with its supplied Pot Support; MicroMo is at its exact 9-inch limit. At 9.5 inches, all twelve JetPower systems including MicroMo are excluded because the exact manuals cap cookware at 8 or 9 inches. At 9 inches, JetPower, an approved screen and the published pan limit match Zip and five Flash configurations; MicroMo is excluded because its manual prohibits windscreens. At 8 inches, JetPower with an approved windscreen matches Zip and five Flash configurations; MicroMo is excluded because its manual prohibits windscreens. At 9.5 inches, all JetPower configurations are excluded for the cookware boundary, and MicroMo also prohibits the requested screen. The manual also prohibits a separate windscreen and outback oven, so a request that combines JetPower with an approved separate screen returns no TrailCook candidate.
Compare Flash Windscreen, Zip, MicroMo and the TrailCook 1.2 L and 2.0 L manuals. Their cookware maxima and screen instructions are model-specific, and the MicroMo support is not screen permission. Same-condition queries: JetPower + approved screen, 8 in, 9 in, 9.5 in, 9 in + approved screen, 8 in + approved screen and 9.5 in + approved screen.
For adjustable-output cooking, the 80 g cap returns the 72 g Crux Lite but not the 83 g folding Crux; at 85 g, both standalone models match. At an 80 g minimum-weight cap, the nonfolding Crux Lite’s exact 72 g stove-only value qualifies, but the folding Crux’s 83 g stove-only value does not; the separate Piezo package has no confirmed total-package minimum and cannot pass a hard cap by borrowing its burner component’s 72 g. At the next 5 g step, an 85 g cap admits both standalone Crux models: 83 g for the folding Crux and 72 g for Crux Lite. Crux Lite Piezo remains outside this weight-filtered set because the 8018914 package total is unknown even though its stove component is listed at 72 g. At 160 g and 165 g with earlier models included, 14 and 15 configurations respectively match, including the 83 g Crux and 72 g Crux Lite but not the unknown-weight Piezo package.
These cases distinguish the stove-only body from the Piezo package rather than borrowing a component's mass. Read the Crux Lite and folding Crux reviews. Adjustable output + 80 g, adjustable output + 85 g, current + boil + one burner + approved screen + 5 in + 80 g, the same conditions at 85 g, earlier-inclusive + 160 g and earlier-inclusive + 165 g.
At 8 inches plus an 80 g, 85 g or 190 g minimum-weight cap, MicroMo is excluded because its 340 g system weight is not a listed minimum. At 5.5 inches and an 80 g cap, three configurations match: two MSR PocketRocket 2 packages and the 75 g SOTO OD-1NV. At 6 inches and an 85 g cap, four PocketRocket configurations match; all three SOTO Amicus configurations exceed their 5.5-inch manual maximum. At 7 inches / 90 g, the WindMaster matches on both limits: its exact 4Flex ceiling is 7 inches and the catalogue minimum is 87 g. At 7.5 inches / 90 g, the WindMaster fails the cookware boundary even though its 87 g minimum meets the cap; the manual ceiling remains 7 inches. At 8.5 inches the Polaris cookware limit passes, but the 300 g cap excludes Black Edition 8020428 and bottle bundle 8019408 because their 330 g body-only minimum is above the maximum selectable weight; the bundle’s total mass is unknown.
These crossed thresholds show why a product must clear both documented fields in the same arrangement. See the PocketRocket 2, PocketRocket 2 Mini Kit, PocketRocket Deluxe, Deluxe Stove Kit, WindPro II, Amicus OD-1NV, WindMaster 4Flex, Optimus Polaris, Polaris Black Edition and Polaris bottle bundle assessments. Same-condition results: 8 in + 80 g, 8 in + 85 g, 8 in + 190 g, 5.5 in + 80 g, 6 in + 85 g, 7 in + 90 g, 7.5 in + 90 g and 8.5 in + 300 g.
Jetboil MightyMo MTYM is one of the exact arrangements in the 8-inch / 190 g case; the stove-only 98 g figure is separate from the additional stabilizer and the unknown bundle mass.
With an approved separate screen and a cookware request, the Pinnacle Canister passes through the exact 10-inch manual maximum and fails at 10.5 inches. Smaller entered values do not erase that model-specific 10-inch ceiling. The Pinnacle Canister review explains the permitted screen and cookware limit. Same-condition screen-plus-pan searches: 5 in, 5.5 in, 8 in, 8.5 in, 9 in and 10 in.
The exact MSR threaded 80/20 fuel choice plus an 8-inch cookware maximum matches eight configurations, while the 10-inch limit narrows those fuel-compatible models to WhisperLite Universal and WindPro II; none exceeds 10 inches. At 10 inches, only Universal and WindPro II remain because their manuals document a canister mode and a 10-inch cookware ceiling. At 10.5 inches the finder returns no assessed MSR canister plan with a documented diameter that large; that does not show that no stove outside this incomplete library can do so.
The WhisperLite Universal and WindPro II keep the canister operating plan separate from other modes. MSR fuel + 8 in, MSR fuel + 10 in and MSR fuel + 10.5 in.
MSR threaded fuel, adjustable output and an approved screen intersect in WhisperLite Universal and WindPro II; MicroMo is excluded because its exact manual specifies JetPower and prohibits windscreens. The Universal and WindPro II approvals apply to their own exact remote layouts, while the MicroMo prohibition remains model-specific. Open all three MSR requirements together.
JetPower, adjustable output and an approved separate windscreen intersect in six systems; MicroMo is excluded because its manual expressly prohibits windscreens. The Flash Windscreen and Zip are examples of the supported set; control and screen instructions remain exact-model limits. Open JetPower, adjustable output and approved-screen requirements.
Two-or-more burners plus a 12-inch cookware requirement matches thirteen stoves; MicroMo has only one burner and a 9-inch maximum. At 12.5 inches, the two-or-more-burner choice has no documented match; MicroMo has one burner and a 9-inch maximum. A maximum cookware size does not prove every pan is stable across several burners.
Current 12-inch examples include Coleman Cascade 222, Cascade 328, Cascade Classic, Classic 3-Burner, Even-Temp, Guide Series 424, PEAK1 5485, Triton and Triton+. Two or more burners + 12 in; for the larger boundary, two or more burners + 12.5 in. At 12.5 inches, the two-or-more-burner choice has no documented match:
The two-or-more-burner choice plus a 300 g minimum-weight cap has no assessed match. The two-or-more-burner option plus a 300 g minimum-weight cap has no assessed match because all seventeen documented Coleman multi-burner pages and all six Camp Chef multi-burner plans have unscoped page weights rather than minimum-weight evidence.
This is a missing weight basis, not a claim that those stoves weigh less or more than 300 g. The numeric field is specifically a manufacturer minimum bare-stove weight; an unspecified table weight cannot pass it. Open the same two-burner and 300 g limits.
Two or more burners with an exact maker-approved windscreen returns six configurations; Fusion is one burner and does not alter that subset. The six assessed examples include Camp Chef Explorer 2-Burner, Explorer 3-Burner, Jetboil Genesis 3-Burner Bundle, Genesis 4-Burner Bundle, Genesis Stove and Genesis Basecamp System. Their stated screen/host arrangements do not transfer to other burners. Open the same two-burner and approved-screen combination.
Large cookware requests and the weight ceiling
Boil-water cooking plus a 12-inch cookware requirement matches fifteen configurations, including GS-1000 under its exact manual's 31 cm / 10 L maximum; this is not a test of pan fit or stability. With earlier models included, 17 configurations match an 11.5-inch cookware requirement; GS-1000 passes its 31 cm / 12.2-inch maximum, as do the GS-600 stove and set under their 30 cm / 11.811-inch ceiling. These are maximum limits, not pan-stability guarantees. At 12 inches, fifteen earlier-inclusive configurations match; GS-1000 stays within its exact 31 cm / 10 L limit, while the GS-600 is excluded above 30 cm / 11.811 inches.
At 12 inches, the Coleman examples include Cascade 18, Cascade 222, Cascade 328, Cascade Classic, Even-Temp, Guide Series 424, PEAK1 5485, Triton and Triton+; the earlier-inclusive examples also include the Snow Peak GS-1000 and Home & Camp Burner Set. Check each review for exact pot-plan restrictions. Boil water + 12 in, earlier + 11.5 in and earlier + 12 in.
At 12.5 inches, the boil-water and documented-diameter conditions have no assessed match; MicroMo’s maximum is 9 inches. At 12.5 inches, the boil-water and documented-diameter conditions have no assessed match: this empty result describes the reviewed evidence, not every stove that may exist. Read the MicroMo cookware limit and open boil-water cooking with a 12.5-inch request.
The BioLite CampStove 2+ and Complete Cook Kit have a 10-inch upper cookware caution, so neither meets a request above 10 inches; EcoZoom Dura and Versa list a 9.5-inch cooktop dimension rather than a cookware maximum, so neither can be matched to a hard cookware-size boundary. At a 175 g cap, 13 reviewed configurations match; Vega is excluded at its 178 g minimum. At a 185 g cap, 15 reviewed configurations match, including Vega. At a 190 g cap, 16 reviewed configurations match, including Vega. At the 300 g maximum, 16 reviewed configurations match, including Vega; Gemini II, Nova and Svea exceed this range. At a 180 g cap, 14 reviewed configurations match, including Vega at the first allowed 5 g step that covers 178 g. Adjustable-output intent with a 190 g maximum listed minimum-weight cap matches 16 configurations, including the 178 g Vega stove body. A manual-approved screen with a 10.5-inch cookware request returns one assessed match: Optimus Nova, whose exact manual ceiling is 11 inches. Two or more burners with an 8-inch cookware request matches 22 configurations, including Gemini II under its 9-inch manual ceiling. Two or more burners plus an 8.5-inch cookware requirement matches 20 configurations, including Gemini II. One-or-more burners plus a 300 g listed minimum-weight cap matches 16 configurations, including Vega; the 300 g cap is the question's largest selectable value. The 178 g Vega meets a 200 g minimum-weight cap in either range. The earlier-inclusive result has 18 matches and the current-only result has 16. With current models only, a 200 g minimum-weight cap matches 16 configurations, including Vega
The Vega's 178 g minimum first fits at the 180 g increment. Nova's manual ceiling and approved-screen use, and Gemini II's two-position and 9-inch cookware boundaries, remain exact-model conditions. BioLite's 10-inch caution is not a fit guarantee; EcoZoom's cooktop dimension is not a cookware maximum. See the Optimus Vega, Optimus Nova, Optimus Gemini II, Snow Peak Home & Camp Burner Set and MSR PocketRocket 2 assessments. Same-condition finder links: 10.5 in, 11 in, 11.5 in, 175 g, 180 g, 185 g, 190 g, 300 g, adjustable output + 190 g, approved screen + 10.5 in, two or more burners + 8 in, two or more + 8.5 in, one or more + 300 g, earlier + 200 g and current + 200 g.
At 40 g, no reviewed configuration passes; the lightest published minimum in the library is 73 g.
At 10.5 inches, none of these 10-inch arrangements matches.
Large cookware and burner-count boundaries
At 12 inches, fourteen Coleman layouts have a documented cookware maximum that covers the request, including Even-Temp, Guide Series 424 and PEAK1 5485. At 12.5 inches: No reviewed product has a documented diameter at least that large. At 16 inches: No reviewed arrangement has a documented cookware size that large. The 12-inch result is a stated maker maximum, not an independent fit or stability test; no larger recorded maximum clears 12.5 inches.
For the 12-inch comparison, review Coleman Cascade 328 and Snow Peak GigaPower LI GS-1000 alongside the layouts named above. Same-condition finder results: 12 in, 12.5 in and 16 in. No reviewed product has a documented diameter at least that large. No reviewed arrangement has a documented cookware size that large.
With earlier models included, the exact MSR 80/20 threaded-canister requirement still matches 15 configurations; none of the four earlier SOTO entries satisfies that named brand, blend and fitting. The WhisperLite Universal is one reviewed fit; compare the separate liquid-fuel Muka, unnamed-blend threaded OD-1BS, propane OD-2AL and evidence-limited StormBreaker. Open earlier models with MSR fuel required.
With earlier models included, the exact JetPower fuel requirement still matches twelve configurations; none of the four earlier SOTO entries is a documented JetPower setup. The Jetboil MicroMo is one exact-model match. The Muka liquid fuel, OD-1BS unnamed canister details, OD-2AL propane and StormBreaker U.S.-manual gap remain distinct. Open earlier models with JetPower required.
Earlier-inclusive water-heating intent matches 172 configurations, including the four individually retained earlier SOTO references. The current one-position SUPALITE TITANIUM KB-0707 catalog gives a 1 L boil-time figure without test conditions; it is not a comparable test. Other useful one-position examples are GSI Glacier Camp, Stove Alpha KGB-2203 and V1 Regulator Stove. Open the same earlier-inclusive water-heating condition.
Earlier-inclusive adjustable-simmer intent matches 151 configurations. BioLite describes fan-speed/fire-intensity control on CampStove 2+ and Complete Cook Kit, and EcoZoom describes a dampering door on Versa; these statements support adjustable-output tags but are not independent simmer tests. The SUPALITE valve description does not specify a low-flame range or simmer. Compare Selkirk 460+, Pinnacle Radiant and the SUPALITE assessment. Open earlier models with adjustable simmer selected.
With earlier configurations included, two-or-more-burner results number 42 and at-least-one-burner results 175; current-only results are 41 and 171, respectively. The difference comes from the earlier-inclusive set; it does not change what the two answers mean. Two-position examples include GSI Selkirk 460+, Kovea KGB-1312PH and KGB-1312P. At least-one-position examples include GSI Glacier Camp, KGB-2203, V1 KGB-1607 and SUPALITE. Earlier + two or more, current + two or more, current + at least one and earlier + at least one.
For cookware needs of 8 and 8.5 inches, the Pinnacle Canister’s exact 10-inch ceiling adds a documented match in both current-only and earlier-inclusive results. The CampStove 2+ and Complete Cook Kit also meet the stated 10-inch BioLite stability recommendation; it is not a guarantee of pan fit. EcoZoom's 9.5-inch cooktop label is not a maximum. Current / 8 in, current / 8.5 in and earlier / 8 in, earlier / 8.5 in.
Earlier SOTO, cookware and weight together
With earlier models included, one burner accepted, water-heating use, an 8-inch cookware need and a 160 g listed-minimum ceiling, eight configurations match, including the OD-1BS as the only earlier SOTO model in this intersection. The PS-1500MB and PS-1500R are excluded because the exact manufacturer pages establish neither a cookware maximum nor a minimum bare-stove weight; see the blue and red variant assessments. The OD-1BS manual lists 160 g, allows pots up to 210 mm / 8.3 in, and limits the total pot load including food or liquid to 3 kg / 6.6 lb. Its manual does not name a gas blend or connector standard, so this combined match does not establish MSR, JetPower or universal canister compatibility. Compare the OD-1BS review with the GasOne PS-1500MB and PS-1500R assessments; stove mass is not full kit mass. Open the same earlier, water-heating, one-burner, 8-inch, 160 g case.
No researched configuration in this exact earlier-inclusive, one-burner water-heating scenario meets both the 8.5-inch cookware requirement and 160 g ceiling; that is a limit of this evidence set, not proof that no suitable stove exists. The PS-1500MB and PS-1500R cannot be used to satisfy either numeric threshold because their pan maximum and minimum bare-stove weight remain undocumented. The OD-1BS fails the 8.5-inch condition because its exact maximum is 8.3 inches. Open the same case at 8.5 inches.
With current-only water heating, one-or-more cooking positions and a 5.5- or 6-inch maximum, the Pinnacle Canister qualifies under its 10-inch manual ceiling; the CampStove 2+ and Complete Cook Kit also qualify under their maker's 10-inch caution. These upper limits do not prove a particular small pan is stable. Compare the Pinnacle Canister, CampStove 2+ and Complete Cook Kit. Current water-heating + one-or-more burners + 5.5 in and the same conditions at 6 in.
