Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Does the 4-Burner Bundle contain one four-burner chassis or two Genesis stoves?
Exact item GNBDL4 contains two separate two-burner Genesis stoves joined by the included JetLink hose. Both units have their own regulator, supplied windscreen and carry bag. The manufacturer's four-burner count is the combined simultaneous layout, not one integrated four-burner stove.
Explore this need in the finder →Does GNBDL4 include cookware for both Genesis stoves?
No. The box list gives one 5 L FluxPot with lid and one 10-inch fry pan with the Genesis Basecamp System, plus a second bare Genesis Basecamp Stove. If you want cookware on both units at once, check the exact kit contents and source appropriate additional cookware; no universal maximum diameter is published.
Explore this need in the finder →Can the 4-Burner Bundle page's listed 53.97 g be used as its total weight?
No. The same row also says 1 lb 14.4 oz, which does not agree with 53.97 g, and the box list contains two stoves and multiple accessories. The assessment treats bundle weight and minimum weight as unknown instead of turning that inconsistent field into a carrying claim.
Explore this need in the finder →Assessment scope: current US Genesis Basecamp 4-Burner Bundle, item GNBDL4, UPC 0850019774757. It is one Genesis Basecamp System plus a second standalone Genesis Basecamp Stove linked by the included JetLink hose. This is a source-based assessment, not a hands-on review or performance test.
Four burners are supplied as two separate cooktops
The GNBDL4 name counts the two burners on each of two Genesis units. Jetboil's listing specifies four 10,000-BTU-per-hour burners connected with the included JetLink hose so one propane source can feed the linked system. The package is not a single four-burner stove body. It is a two-unit basecamp layout: a Genesis Basecamp System and a second Genesis Basecamp Stove, each with its own regulator, supplied windscreen and carry bag.
Only the System half has the listed 5 L FluxPot with lid and 10-inch ceramic-coated pan. The second bare Genesis stove does not come with a second matching pot-and-pan kit. A JetLink hose and instructions are included; the propane cylinder is not. Buyers planning to cook on both units at once should account for appropriate additional cookware and confirm fit in the exact manual rather than assume the single included pan or pot serves both burners.
The manufacturer lists an open footprint of 20.5 by 9.8 inches for each Genesis stove and packed dimensions of 10.3 by 7.2 inches for each. The bundle page does not state the combined footprint when linked, the spacing between units or an overall table requirement. These dimensions establish the individual stove form, not the amount of table space needed for two units, hose routing, fuel and cookware.
Do not rely on the bundle's weight field
The four-burner bundle page's weight row reads 1 pound 14.4 ounces and 53.97 grams. Those two unit values disagree, and neither is credible as the total of two stove units, two regulators, screens and bags, cookware and a hose. The page's footnote says regulator, windscreen and carry bag are excluded, further underscoring that it is not a usable complete package mass. We do not convert that row into either an included-system weight or a manufacturer-listed minimum. If carry weight matters, ask for a verified exact package mass and include the separate propane cylinder and any cookware added for the second stove.
The connection path is more than a hose
The Genesis manual identifies propane under vapor pressure and specifies a 16.4-ounce disposable cylinder, sold separately, or a separately sold hose adapter certified to ANSI Z21.81 / CSA 6.25 for a bulk tank. The instructions caution that other canisters can be hazardous. The source Genesis stove attaches to the regulator at its specified input; the JetLink hose then runs from the source stove's output to the second Genesis fuel input. The included hose is the named link, not permission to substitute any adapter, hose or stove with similar-looking fittings.
JetLink's own instructions require Jetboil/Eureka-certified compatible stoves and accessories, fully secure threaded connections, intact seals and leak checks outside using soapy water rather than a flame. Disconnect fuel after use. Both stoves' individual manuals also apply: each unit has a regulator and its own control, and each burner has a lever igniter. The four-turn control range to full gas flow provides adjustable output. That does not demonstrate a measured simmer or prove all four burners deliver a particular result together.
Maker claims and limits
Jetboil publishes 3 minutes 15 seconds per liter in the 5 L FluxPot, averaged over the life of a 1-pound propane bottle, and a 48-liter-per-bottle figure. Those are manufacturer claims attached to the cookware and cylinder conditions; they are not independent boil or efficiency results for four burners running. The listing also describes the bundle as suitable for groups of three to five, which is manufacturer guidance rather than a promise about meal service speed.
For an ordinary cook, the stronger evidence-backed use case is the flexible layout: reserve the included 5 L pot and 10-inch pan for one Genesis and place a separately chosen vessel on the other. The sources reviewed do not establish a general maximum cookware diameter, and the included 10-inch pan is not an automatic maximum for every compatible pan. Compare the actual cookware base, handle clearance and work surface; do not treat the individual stove footprint as a pan-size specification.
Outdoor setup has to accommodate both stoves
The Genesis manuals require outdoor use in a well-ventilated area only—never in a tent, vehicle, camper, home or other enclosed space. Each stove needs a flat, level surface at least 1 meter (3.3 feet) from combustibles and ignition sources. The manual permits only the windscreen supplied with that individual Genesis and requires a minimum 1-inch gap from cookware; another windscreen or an outback oven can overheat the cylinder. Keep cookware off the burner while lighting, check seals, and leak-test outdoors with soapy water.
Do not invert a cylinder, move or tilt either lit stove, or disconnect fuel before all burners are extinguished. Disconnect the source after each use and allow both stove units to cool before packing. A two-stove configuration magnifies the practical importance of those rules: there must be space to place both cooktops and their screens with the specified clearance, and the hose must be routed securely without interfering with cookware. No combined clearance diagram or total layout footprint was found in the exact bundle sources.
Compare packages by actual included function
The 4-Burner Bundle is for a buyer who has a reason to cook on four simultaneous positions and can carry, place and connect two stove units. The Genesis Basecamp System is the simpler two-burner choice when the included pot and pan are enough. GNBDL3 supplies three positions from a Genesis plus a HalfGen, with a 9-inch HalfGen pan and smaller unit rather than a second two-burner stove. GNBDL4 keeps the linked, separate-unit architecture but raises burner count from three to four and adds no duplicate cookware for the extra Genesis. Those package differences are more useful than treating the bundles as interchangeable capacity upgrades.
A limited check of CPSC notice 09-126 found older PCS, Java, BDL and GCS150 names, not GNBDL4; the notice check does not certify that no other or future recall applies. No independent cooking, wind, simmer or transport test was conducted. The central case for GNBDL4 is a four-position propane basecamp layout with one included matched Genesis cookware set. Its weak case is any trip where table area, a known full kit weight, indoor use or an all-in-one cooktop is essential.
